A dazzling showcase of intellect and innovation unfolded as TEDx Youth @WBS celebrated its fifth edition at Welham Boys’ School on Saturday, March 9, 2024. An event curated by Atharva Agarwal, the  School Captain,  aimed to bring together brilliant minds, delivering idea-focused talks that sparked inspiration and covered a spectrum of topics relevant to the next generation of thought leaders.
 
The event's curtain-raiser was Ms. Reeti Sahai, an accomplished entrepreneur and the first woman from Uttarakhand to complete six major world marathons, earning the esteemed title of a six-star finisher. Ms. Sahai shared her insights into breaking barriers and thriving as a fitness enthusiast. Her narrative served as a powerful testament to the limitless potential within every individual, regardless of gender.
 
Following this, Ms. Ruchi Badola, Dean at the Wildlife Institute of India, took center stage, passionately advocating for wildlife conservation. Her presentation showed dedication and a fervent commitment to driving impactful environmental change.
 
Visual storyteller and documentary photographer, Mr. Vicky Roy, Forbes Asia 30 Under 30, skilfully used his lens to capture untold stories, shedding light on the strength and resilience of the human spirit.
 
Dr. Manisha Anwekar, Founder of Spiritual Konnect, presented the three-point ACE Routine for maintaining excellent mental health. Emphasising positive thinking and affirmations, she provided practical tips for transformative change and recommended ways to create a nurturing environment within schools.
 
Mr. Simranjeet Singh Sethi's TEDx talk was a masterclass in authenticity and inspiration. His ability to seamlessly blend his legal expertise with a fervent passion for media and communication left the audience motivated and enlightened. As a media advisor, mentor, and advocate for passion-driven careers, his talk served as a beacon for those seeking purpose and transformation in their professional journeys.
 
In retrospect, TEDx Youth @WBS 2024 stands as a testament to the boundless power of ideas. The echoes of these talks will linger, leaving an enduring impact on the audience—a reminder that within every idea lies the potential to transform, inspire, and shape a brighter future for us all.

Welham Boys’ School started life as Welham Preparatory School way back in 1937, when Ms. Oliphant invested her humble capital and started the School in a rented building, which she called White House. Later, she rented another building Bethany that today is our dining hall.
