Spring Festival -2016

Careers Fair at School turned into a feast of possibilities. University representatives from around the world were there to inform students and parents in sessions that included interactive workshops relating to all aspects of student life. Certainly students at this fair seemed to be bristling with confidence.

A mesmerising range of musical styles featured in this year Spring Festival with Jamuna’s House’s own version of the Beatles’ Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da. The energy of this performance was in sharp contrast to the melancholic Those Were the Days from Cauvery House, a mood that Ganga House sustained with their rendering of Paul Simon’s song, The Sound of Silence. It was left to Krishna House to give us Jamaican Farewell, originally recorded by Harry Belafonte.

With such a range of styles, all performed with commitment and skill, adjudicators had a tricky task making a decision, eventually adjudging Krishna House as winners.

The school honoured the achievements of its Scholars with a traditional ceremony in which scarves, blazers and gowns were awarded. In the section for senior students Prabhapaar Singh Batra was particularly successful, winning subject award for both Maths and Chemistry; Mohit Gupta also won highest achiever awards, for English and Biology.
