Scholar’s Recognition Ceremony-2017

The Scholar’s Recognition ceremony was held on the 29th of April as a part of the Spring Festival celebrations. Every year, Welham Boys’ School rewards students for their unsparing efforts in the field of academics to motivate and encourage them further. This year there was a change in the number of Distinction achievers because of the revised benchmark. This Scholars’ Recognition ceremony saw the academic procession coming from the stage, rather than the conventional entry from the rear of the Activity Centre, to make the gown holders more distinct to the parents and guests. Also, the school awarded the Asset winners for the first time in the school’s history, giving students even more incentive to work hard. The Principal, in her address, stressed on the importance of balancing scholastic and co-scholastic activities and planning one’s timetable, for further success. The ceremony ended with the launch of the School’s Art publication, The Welham Aesthetika, by the Principal, the Art department Head, the Art Captain and the proud grandparent of a student whose work was published in the ‘Aesthetika’. We look forward to awarding many more students in the next year’s Scholar’s recognition ceremony.
