Graduation Ceremony 2018

Despite the overcast weather on the 12th of February 2018, the Graduation Ceremony began as warmly as ever, with the traditional slow march into the Activity Centre, of the Chief Guest, Mr. Aveg Agarwal, Principal, Ma’am Bindra, senior members of staff and the entire batch of 2018. The academic faculty greeted them as they walked in and the Principal led the assembly into prayer followed by the hymn ‘Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua’. This was followed by the presentation of a bamboo shoot to the Chief Guest’s wife, Mrs. Agarwal. Ma’am Bindra then addressed the gathering and her speech inspired the batch of 2018 to be true to their values and always conscious of their inextricable link to their School. Ma’am also spoke of the importance of each one of the boys of the graduating batch and also harked back to Ms. Dia Mirza’s thought provoking question ‘Who are you?’emphasizing on that one unchanging role of being a true Welhamite. The meditative Vedic prayer was followed by each graduating student coming up on stage to receive his citation, amidst much cheer and applause. Next up were the most coveted awards of the year,a summary of whichis as follows:
