Career Counselling

The Welham Boys’ School Careers Department encourages pupils to develop skills which will help them to assess, investigate, analyze and realize their full strength and potential. It is the aim of the Careers Department to provide to students and interested parents, the relevant information concerning career options and choices, to give objective advice and keep in place a fully guided application process for courses in Indian and Foreign Universities.

The Careers Department, in an effort towards the holistic development of a student, has organized Campus visits to Indian Universities or holds workshops and seminars on Career Choices, Effective Communication Skills, Interview Techniques and Life Skills. Entry level tests such as the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), Common Law Admissions Test (CLAT) and other proficiency tests required by universities in India and abroad are also facilitated by the department.

All students of Class XI are required to attend the Subject Choice Orientation Programme which aims to guide and direct the boys and their parents to make the correct choice of subjects leading to successful careers, which would be a lifelong source of pleasure.

We also encourage our students to go on Student Exchanges or take a Gap year in India and abroad, to widen their outlook and horizon.

We at Welham Boys’ School, consider each child placed in our care to be unique, hence the stress on the importance of giving each student the assistance necessary to ensure a brilliant career ahead.
