Youth Sports Leadership Camp 2012

The British Council conducted this camp with the objective of preparing young people to become young leaders who would help spread awareness about how sports can be a more “inclusive” – fun for all activity.
About 210 students representing 70 schools from all over the country participated in this camp. Students were divided into seven groups: Equality, Courage, Excellence, Determination, Inspiration, Respect, and Friendship.

They were given the task to prepare fun activities involving all group members and each group had a team of differently abled children who too were involved in planning the activities and then playing these fun games.
Each School has been entrusted with the responsibility to form a sports club in our school/community which will ensure that fun activities are organized regularly to include everyone in a way that the values such as team work, leadership, fitness, equality, etc. are developed easily by all.
