"WELMUN " 18

MUN conference was held in Welham Boy’s School from 30th August to 1st September 2018.

29 schools participated in this three day conference.

Ambassador Anil Trigunayat, Former Ambassador of India to Jordan, Libya and Malta, was the Chief Guest and Ms Georgina was the key note speaker.

The Doon School lifted the Best Delegation Trophy. Col DPK Pillay, Shaurya Chakra was the chief guest for the closing ceremony."

Second edition of "Kamera Obscura" a National Level inter-school Photography and Film Making Competition was held at Welham Boys' School from 30th August to 1st September 2018.The grand event commenced by the arrival of various teams from schools. The competition was declared open by Mr. Manas Lal, a photographic artist, painter and a writer. 13 schools participated in the competition. Spread over 3 daysthe competition kept the participants busy clicking pictures and shooting film on the given subjects. The concluding session for the event was a Photo Walk at the beautiful campus of  the Forest Research Institute.

The Guest of Honor for the Closing Ceremony Mr. Aloke Lal, Retired Director General of Police and a distinguished Artist and photographer, handed over the trophies to the winners and announced the competition closed.

  • The winners for the Photography Competition were: 1st Position St. Joseph's Academy, 2nd Position Delhi Public School, Srinagar and 3rd Position Welham Boys' School.
  • The winners for the Film Making Competition were: 1st Position St. Joseph's Academy, 2nd Position Welham Boys; School and 3rd Position Hopetown Girls' School.
  • The event was a success and everyone dispersed with a sincere hope that such mega events should be organized time and again giving the students a chance to display their talents.
