Welham Boys' School

NewsChildren's Day 12-11-2020

Children’s Day was a fun-filled day for students of Welham Boys’ School. It was celebrated with great enthusiasm. We were joined online by our students residing off campus and those residing on campus, joined us in person in school. Celebrations began with a prayer read by the Principal and followed by a hymn sung by the teachers. Teachers gave various performances for the students in order to exhibit their love and affection. A skit on online classes, informative advertisements, hilarious Welham Show, singing and some great dancing were put up by the teachers. Students on campus cheered for their teachers and laughed boisterously at their jokes. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by the School Captain.

Welham Boys’ School started life as Welham Preparatory School way back in 1937, when Ms. Oliphant invested her humble capital and started the School in a rented building, which she called White House. Later, she rented another building Bethany that today is our dining hall.
