News72nd Republic Day Celebrations 26-01-2021

“Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.”--- Rabindranath Tagore

It is faith indeed that has bolstered and empowered every Indian to sustain our motherland through innumerable turmoil--- social, political and economic and in the end it is humanity and fraternity that has prevailed always. It is in this spirit that Welham Boys’ School, one of the premier schools in the country, celebrated the 72nd Republic Day in a solemn occasion. The flaming passion and patriotic fervour in the heart of everyone present was ignited with the hoisting and unfurling of the Indian tri-colour by the Principal, Ms. Sangeeta Kain. In her brief speech, the Principal wished Happy Republic Day to all present and expressed her elation in having the students back on campus calling it a ‘welcome change’. The celebrations drew to a close with the students present on campus taking the initiative of distributing sweets to all the teaching and non teaching staff members. The IT department ensured that the rest of the students witnessed the celebrations from the comfort of their homes via live online streaming of the programme on Microsoft Teams.
