Welham  Boys’ School proudly celebrated its 87th Founder's Day over three exhilarating days filled with events that showcased the talents, creativity, and spirit of our students.
 
Day 1 commenced with a vibrant Book Fair hosted by Scholastic India, which drew students, parents, and teachers alike to explore a vast array of literature. The fair was inaugurated by the parents of our School Captain, Mr. Amit Agarwal and Mrs. Swati Agarwal, emphasizing the collaborative spirit of our school community. The morning continued with a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) that fostered meaningful conversations about student progress and school initiatives, reinforcing our commitment to holistic education. 

In the afternoon, the Athletic Meet took center stage, with Mr. Pritam Kumar Bind, a celebrated athlete, prominent figure in Indian athletics, and Chief Manager at ONGC, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest, inspiring everyone with his story of perseverance, dedication, and excellence. His presence added prestige to the event, and he encouraged the athletes with inspiring words, celebrating their dedication and sportsmanship. Students showcased their brilliant athletic talents in various competitions, with cheers echoing throughout the grounds. Later, the junior school dazzled the audience with a charming production titled The Boatman Boy, the tale of Baji Rout, the youngest freedom fighter and martyr at the age of 12. With vibrant costumes, lively music, and engaging storytelling, the students brought the inspiring tale to life. The day's highlight was an enchanting concert- Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaaon- by the celebrated poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar, whose words resonated deeply with the audience, fostering a love for literature and poetry.

Day 2 kicked off with the inauguration of the CCA exhibitions by the Chief Guest, Lt. Gen. Ravin Khosla, an Ex-Welhamite from the batch of 1973 and the former Deputy Chief of Army Staff. The exhibitions showcased students’ creative accomplishments in art, science, music, and drama, reflecting their hard work and dedication. This was followed by the Founder's assembly, the most solemn occasion of the year, that paid tribute to our school's rich history and vision, instilling a sense of pride in our students. Mr. Rahul Munjal, Chairman and Managing Director, Hero Future Energies, an ex-Welhamite of the batch of 1994, came back to his alma mater as the Chief Guest for the occasion and shared his valuable insights with the audience.

The Ensemble- orchestra performance showcased the musical talents of our students, captivating the audience with enchanting melodies followed by the senior school production, Disconnect to Connect, highlighting the need for social media and tech-detox to forge real life relationships and have meaningful conversations, a riveting theatrical presentation that left the audience spellbound, earning resounding applause for its cast and crew. 

Day 3 was a jubilant celebration as the Carnival brought together the entire school community. Mrs. Nanda Joshi, an Ex-House Mother at Welham Boys' School, honoured the occasion with her presence as the Chief Guest. Colorful stalls, exciting games, and food stalls created a joyous atmosphere, encouraging participation from students and their families. This day was a fitting finale to our Founder's Day celebrations, uniting everyone in a spirit of fun and camaraderie, while commemorating the values and traditions that define our school.

Overall, the 87th Founder's Day was a resounding success, highlighting the achievements of our student body and celebrating the enduring legacy of our school.
