NewsMid Excursion - Sep 2022 26-09-2022
Excursions provide a direct source of knowledge and acquaint the student with first-hand information and opportunity to the students for development of their aesthetic sense. Through these excursions, students become interested in the exploration of their environment. They also help to develop in students a love for nature and to acquaint them with true happiness in the outside world. Mid Term excursions are an essential part of our school.
On the 26th of September, we started our Mid Term excursions with seven groups dispersing to different destinations on the first day. The groups went hostel-wise, accompanied by their escort teachers. The next day, the rest of the school left for their assigned destinations. The destinations were Amritsar-Attari Border, Shogi, Kasauli, Kedarkanta(Trek), Har ki dun(Trek), Dodital(Trek), Dalhousie, Nanital, Dharamshala, and many more. All the groups left for these destinations with their Tutors and other teachers.
These trips help develop the power of observations, exploration, judgment, and drawing inferences. These trips also help students with problem-solving! They also enhance and inculcate qualities of resourcefulness, self-confidence, initiative, and leadership skills.
The Mid Term ended on different dates for different groups. The junior school returned on the 30th of September with beautiful memories, the middle and senior school on the 1st of October, and only one group returned on the 2nd of October. The entire school returned safely!
