Students from Welham Boys’ School recently participated in the Round Square Conference at Regents International School, Bangkok, centered around the theme "Embracing Change, Shaping the Future." Bringing together students from 19 schools across multiple countries, the conference fostered global collaboration, cultural exchange, and leadership development.

Students engaged in Barazza sessions, discussing global issues, and took part in team-building activities like the Scavenger Hunt and Food Fest. Keynote speakers included Jamie McDonald (Adventureman), who shared his journey of resilience, and Melati Wijsen (founder of Youthtopia), who inspired students with her campaign for a plastic-free Indonesia, which she took up when she was only 12 years old.

A major highlight was Service Day, where students contributed to initiatives focused on food sustainability, education, and community welfare. They also experienced Thailand’s Songkran Festival, attended a Cultural Evening, and bonded over music at the Social Evening. The conference concluded with a testimonial meeting, reflecting on their journey.

Beyond the conference, students also had the opportunity to explore the vibrant city of Bangkok. From Safari World and Marine Park to Nong Nooch Village and Sea Life & Madame Tussauds, the educational and cultural excursions added an exciting dimension to their journey. They also explored the country’s rich heritage through Bangkok temple tours, cultural performances, and the famous Thai cultural show.

Welham Boys’ School is proud to provide such global platforms that enable students to embrace change, develop leadership skills, and contribute meaningfully to society.
