Our Campus
Spread over 30 acres, the Welham Boys’ School estate is a well wooded, lush, arboreal retreat, providing an ideal pastoral atmosphere conducive to a healthy learning environment. The flowering trees and shrubs attract over 60 recorded species of birds. With the Himalayas to the north and the Shivaliks covering the south, Welham Boys’ School lies in the heart of the Doon valley by the river Rispana.
In recent years, the School has been concentrating on upgrading its existing infrastructure so that in keeping with the times, we can provide our students with state-of-the-art facilities, which indeed we have done in many areas. For the near future there are many innovative projects in the pipeline.

The diverse trees and flora attract diverse animal species, including mongoose, squirrel, several types of butterflies and over sixty recorded species of birds!
Serenaded by river Rispana, flanked by the Himalayas in the north and Shivaliks to the south, Welham is situated at the very heart of the Doon valley.
The school prides itself in constantly upgrading its infrastructure and technology, keeping keel with time, providing students with state of the art facilities.
LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER
A behemoth of sorts combining the Gallery, Reading Room, Audio Visual Room, the Reference Section, the Borrowing Section, the Art Department and the Design & Technology Workshop, the LRC is ground zero for honing grey matter!
RIVERSIDE BLOCK
The Riverside Block, with state-of-the-art architecture, is an excellent facility for students to learn and grow. The spacious and well-lit classrooms, equipped with the advanced technology IFPs, provide a comfortable and engaging learning environment for students. The AV room fitted with the latest equipment is used extensively for conferences and presentations. The science labs are fully equipped with cutting-edge technology enabling students to explore and conduct experiments with precision.
SENIOR AND MIDDLE SCHOOL
This area of the campus comprises the Seven Seas and Seven Oaks block, the Khadim Ali Block, the Hughes Block and the Riverside Block. These buildings house all the classrooms, laboratories, staff room, offices of the Senior Management Team , the stationery store and the server room.
JUNIOR SCHOOL
The White House is a beautiful heritage building where the Junior School classes, library, offices, staff room, music room and junior IT room are located. Welham Boys' School as it majestically stands today had its humble beginnings from this cottage that Ms Oliphant, our Founder bought and converted into a preparatory school.
RESIDENCES
The Welham Boys' School has four Hostels. Students of grades 4 to 6 reside in the Oliphant Building which is further divided into three hostels – The Oliphant, Narmada and Rispana. The students of the Middle and Senior School Cauvery house reside house wise in the following buildings:

PLAYFIELDS AND COURTS
The Main Field, Lower Field and the Orchard Field are the hub of sporting activities. For specialisation there are basketball courts, squash courts, a skating rink, badminton courts, a shooting range, a volleyball court etc. which complete the gaming compliment.
ACTIVITY CENTRE
The Activity Centre is a spacious, multipurpose hall which hosts a slew of academic and co-curricular activities such as drama, debate, quiz, basketball and table tennis championships. It has superb acoustics, cutting edge sound systems, a modern terra-flex basketball court, the badminton courts, the shooting range and a well-stocked gymnasium. For boys who may be hungry after an intense workout, it also hosts a tuck shop which offers fresh hot snacks!
WELLNESS CENTER
Our Wellness Center is ready and stocked for any medical emergency that may present itself. It has an 18-bed general ward, a 5-bed isolation ward, a dining room, a medical store, and a visitor’s lounge. It includes a minor Operation Theatre with a defibrillator, pulse oximeter and cardiac monitor.
The Wellness Center has been upgraded recently to include a Physiotherapy Section. By this, students receive almost all medical assistance on campus itself.
ADMINISTRATIVE BLOCK
The day to day administration with regards to accounts, travel and dispatch are managed here.
BETHANY
Generations of Welhamites have been fed at Bethany which is the central dining hall of our school. Delicious hot meals are served here while maintaining strict standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
