Welhamites secure Gold, Silver and Bronze at the 16th Uttarakhand Yoga State Championship

Welham Boys' School proudly participated in the 16th Uttarakhand Yoga State Championship, delivering stellar performances. Vivek Gupta and Pranjal Baluni secured the Gold Medal in the Senior Rhythmic Pair Event, while Harshvardhan Tiwari and Raaghavendra Rahul Govil earned the Silver Medal in the same category.

In individual events, Harshvardhan Tiwari won Silver Medal in the 14-16 Years category, and Vivek Gupta secured the Bronze Medal in the 16-18 Years category. These remarkable achievements reflect the team's dedication and skill. Congratulations to Team Welham!

The Welham Boys' School Squash Team delivered an outstanding performance at the Uttarakhand State Squash Championship. Competing against a total of 138 participants across 13 categories, our talented players brought home 4 Gold, 5 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals.

Unnati Tripathi Secures Bronze Medal at HCL Eastern India Slam Squash Tournament 2024

Unnati Tripathi, Squash Captain for 2024-25 at Welham Boys' School, has earned a Bronze medal in the Girls' Under-19 category at the HCL Eastern India Slam Squash Tournament, held from August 26-31, 2024, at the Calcutta Racket Club in Kolkata, India. Competing against 236 participants across 10 categories from 17 states, Unnati delivered an outstanding performance. Welham Boys' School proudly congratulates her on this remarkable achievement!

Welham Boys' School Shines at the Summer Valley Football Tournament

Welham Boys' School proudly participated in the 10th Summer Valley Invitational Cup Seven-A-Side Football Tournament, hosted by Summer Valley School, Dehradun. The Welham team delivered an outstanding performance, securing the runners-up position in the tournament.

Welham Boys' School Shines at IPSC Table Tennis Tournament

The Welham Boys' School Table Tennis Team showcased exceptional skills at the IPSC Table Tennis Tournament held at Pestleweed School, where 19 schools competed.

In the U-17 team category, our talented players Yajat Grover, Shorya Kashyap, Atharv Singh, and Arnav Agarwal clinched the silver medal.

The U-19 team, featuring Manan Agarwal, Midhvan Agarwal, Prathamjot Singh, and Priyansh Baluni, also secured a silver medal.

Additionally, in the U-19 individual event, Manan Agarwal earned a bronze medal and was selected for the SGFI. Congratulations to all our players for their outstanding performances!

Welham Boys' School wins the Overall Swimming Championship Trophy at the 14th P.A. Kidd Inter-School Swimming Competition

Welham Boys' School emerged victorious, winning the Overall Swimming Championship Trophy at the 14th P.A. Kidd Inter-School Swimming Competition, hosted by Wynberg-Allen School, Mussoorie. A team of 20 talented Welhamites represented the school, bringing home an impressive haul of medals: 8 Gold, 10 Silver, and 3 Bronze.

Welhamite Unnati Tripathi Shines at World Junior Squash Championships 2024

Unnati Tripathi, Squash Captain 2024-25 at Welham Boys' School, was selected to play in the World Junior Squash Championships held in Houston from July 18-23, 2024. In the Individual Category, Unnati finished 45th out of 128 players. She also played as part of the Indian Girls' Team, which achieved a commendable 7th place, an improvement from last year's 8th position.

Welham Boys’ School commends Unnati and all other young athletes for their dedication and hard work.

Unnati Tripathi wins Gold at the Indian Junior Championships 2024 for the second consecutive year

Welhamite Unnati Tripathi won a Gold Medal for the second consecutive year in the Girls Under 17 category at the 14th Indian Junior Championships 2024, held at Daly College, Indore, from May 22-27, 2024. The international squash tournament featured 410 entries from countries including the USA, Australia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Egypt, and India.

Defending her 2023 title, Unnati triumphed with a score of 3-1. Additionally, Ex-Welhamite and Unnati's brother, Ansh Tripathi, secured fourth place in the Boys Under 19 category.

Welhamite Unnati Tripathi selected for World Junior Squash Championships 2024

Unnati Tripathi, Squash Captain 2024-25, Welham Boys' School, has been chosen to represent India at the World Junior Squash Championships 2024 in Houston, USA, from July 12 to 23, 2024.

The selection trials, under the supervision of Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI), took place at the Indian Squash Academy in Chennai from May 16 to 20, 2024. Unnati secured the 2nd position among the top 11 players invited from India, earning her spot in the girls under 19 category.

Welham Boys' School showcased their prowess at the 3rd M.S Kunwar Memorial Uttarakhand State Open Tennis Tournament, clinching multiple accolades. Rakshit Bajaj demonstrated remarkable skill, securing the First Runner-up position in both the U-18 and U-16 Boys Singles categories. Additionally, Aarav Bansal and Aarush Mangal impressed with their stellar performance, earning the First Runners-up title in the U-14 Doubles category.

Welham Boys' School student Unnati Tripathi selected for 31st Asian Junior Individual Championships

Unnati Tripathi, the Squash Captain 2024-25, Welham Boys' School, has been chosen to represent India at the 31st Asian Junior Individual Championships, scheduled to take place in Islamabad, Pakistan, from June 25th to June 29th, 2024, competing in the Under-17 category.

The selection process involved rigorous trials held at the Indian Squash Academy in Chennai from May 2nd to May 6th, 2024. The selection for this prestigious event was highly competitive, with only two players chosen in each category based on their performance at the trials, where Unnati was chosen as the 1st contestant in the Under-17 category.

Welham Boys' School takes immense pride in Unnati Tripathi's achievement and wishes her the best of luck for the 31st Asian Junior Individual Championships.

The Welham Boys' School Swimming Team clinched the Championship Trophy in the Boys' Category at the Inter School Aqua Meet Swimming Competition held at Sri Ram Centennial School, Dehradun.

Displaying exceptional skill and determination, the Welham Team secured an impressive haul of medals, claiming a total of 6 Gold, 2 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals.

In the team events, Welham Boys’ School won Gold in the Boys U-14 category and Boys U-19 category, while in the Boys U-17 category, we won Bronze.

Additionally, in the individual events, Atulit Tripathi won Gold in Boys U-17 category and Prakhar Lohia won Silver in Boys U-19 category.

Welham Boys' School proudly participated in the 19th IPSC Shooting Championship-2024 held at Daly College, Indore, where they achieved remarkable success. In the Event Open Sight Air Gun U-19 category, the team secured the Silver medal for their incredible performance. The team members contributing to this achievement were Hridaiveer, Mohd Abdullah, and Vaibbhav Yadav.

Additionally, in the individual accolades, Hridaiveer earned the Gold medal, while Mohd Abdullah claimed the Silver medal. This outstanding performance by the Welham team is truly commendable, reflecting their dedication and skill in the sport.

Welham Boys' School wins the 35th Golden Jubilee Basketball Championship

Welham Boys’ School proudly hosted the 35th edition of the Golden Jubilee Basketball Tournament, a cherished tradition since its inception during the school’s 50th anniversary in 1987. This year's tournament, held from April 22nd to 25th, 2024, showcased the prowess of eight esteemed teams, engaging in spirited competition across 16 matches.

In the Semifinal rounds, Welham Boys’ School (Blue Team) triumphed over The Daly College, Indore, securing their spot in the finals, while Wynberg Allen School won against La’ Martiniere for Boys’, Kolkata.

The climactic Final match unfolded on April 25th, 2024, where Welham Boys' School – Blue Team faced off against Wynberg Allen School, ultimately claiming victory and the coveted Golden Jubilee Basketball Trophy with a commanding lead of 22 points. Kabir Shobhit Vaish from Welham Boys’ School earned the title of Most Valuable Player, while Shaurya Mittal of Wynberg Allen earned the title of the Most Promising Player.

The tournament's grand finale was graced by the presence of Mr. Suresh Kumar, an esteemed International Basketball player and the Finance and Accounts Officer at ONGC, Dehradun, adding prestige to the closing ceremony.

Uttar Pradesh Squash State Championship

Unnati Tripathi from Welham Boys’ School emerges as a shining star, clinching two Gold medals in the Girls under 19 and Women’s categories at the Uttar Pradesh Squash State Championship, hosted at Cawnpore Club Kanpur. All India IPSC Swimming Championship

Welham Boys’ School proudly participated in the All India IPSC Swimming Championships hosted at Pestle Weed Dehradun. Notably, two talented Welhamites, Astitva Sharma and Uriet Dewan, qualified for the SGFI National team. This championship witnessed the participation of 365 students from 23 schools across India.
In the Under 14 category:

• Astitva Sharma clinched the Silver medal in the 50m Butterfly and the Bronze medal in the 50m Freestyle.
• Our 4X100m Freestyle and Medley relay teams both secured Bronze medals.

In the Under 19 category:

• Yash Vardhan Mitruka secured the Bronze medal in the 100m Freestyle.
• Uriet Dewan earned Silver medals in both the 50m Butterfly and 200m Butterfly events.
• The 4X100m Medley relay team also secured the Bronze medal.

In total, our talented Welham athletes brought home three Silver medals and five Bronze medals.

Shri O.P. Garg Memorial Invitational Soccer Tournament

Welhamites showcased their soccer prowess at the All India Inter School Shri O.P. Garg Memorial Invitational Soccer Tournament hosted by Shri Ram Centennial School.

The Welham Boys Under 14 Soccer Team clinched victory in the final match with an impressive score of 3-0 securing the Championship Title. Shrey Gupta's outstanding performance earned him the Golden Boot award for being the top scorer of the tournament.

22nd UK Open State Roller Skating Championship 2023

The 22nd UK Open State Roller Skating Championship, 2023 witnessed fierce competition among 40 schools from across the state. In an outstanding display of skill and determination, Welhamites clinched the highly coveted overall best performance trophy. Their exceptional performance was evident as they emerged victorious in the Senior and Junior Roll Ball matches, as well as the Junior and Sub-Junior Roller Hockey matches. Additionally, they secured the runner-up position in the Senior and Junior In-line Hockey matches. Notably, some of our talented players also participated in the Roll Ball nationals in the Senior and Sub-Junior categories. Congratulations to the entire team on their remarkable success!

INTER SCHOOL AQUA MEET

Welham Boys’ School’s Swimming Team lifted the Championship Trophy and proved their mettle at the Inter School Aqua Meet held at the Shri Ram Centennial School. With an amazing showcase of talent, our team of 23 students competed across diverse age categories, leaving an indelible mark. Their exceptional skills and dedication led to a remarkable achievement of 8 Gold, 8 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals. Astitva Sharma received special recognition as the Best Swimmer in the Junior category. The entire Welham community exults in this momentous triumph as we proudly hoist the championship trophy. DEHRADUN DISTRICT SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIP

Welham Boys’ School stole the show at the 6th Dehradun District Squash Championship held at Vantage Hall Girls' Residential School. The talented Welhamites achieved remarkable success by securing an impressive tally of 5 Gold, 5 Silver, and 11 Bronze medals across both individual and team events. The team competitions were fiercely contested, with Welham A Team clinching the Gold in the Open category by defeating The Doon School Team by 2-1, while Welham B Team secured the Bronze by triumphing over RIMC A Team with the same scoreline.

In the Boys under 15 category, the Welham A Team exhibited their prowess by claiming the Gold after a thrilling 2-1 victory against the RIMC Team, while the Welham B team demonstrated their skill by capturing the Bronze by defeating the RIMC B Team. The Individual category witnessed outstanding performances, with Manas Mohan earning the Gold in BU-11, Atulit Tripathi achieving Gold in BU-15, and Unnati Tripathi emerging as the Gold medalist in the Women's division. Other notable achievements include Prakhar Lohia's Silver in BU-19, Atulit Tripathi's Silver in BU-17, Nivan Agarwal's Silver in BU-13, Darsh Chachan's Silver in BU-11, and Mr. Hari Om Tripathi's Silver in the Men over 35 category.
